Association for Women in Mathematics is an organization created to inspire women of all ages to learn about and pursue careers in the mathematical sciences. The goal being to create environments in these industries that promote equal opportunity and treatment for women in the mathematical sciences.

The previous logo was a symbol of the Fibonacci Sequence with a New Times Roman font, but outside of the direct math reference, the existing log had no real individuality to set the organization apart.
The mark utilizes the convergance of two grids converging, with both sides defining the profile of the female face. The facial features further follow the shape making created by the grids, giving a geometric look that still retains the inviting facial features.
The gold palette was chosen for this mark to invoke feeling of both warmth and success, all aspects that the organization aims to instill within all of its members.
